Try light exercise such as:

shoes

The shoe soles should be sturdy and slip-resistant. If a sole is too smooth it can be slippery.

A good grip is crucial to keep one steady in all types of weather conditions.

If the shoe is too tight, this can cause foot pain. If the shoe is too loose, the wearer may slip and slide. Either of these issues can cause a lack of balance while moving.

Wearing shoes that don’t fit well is strongly linked to foot problems and foot pain.

lighting

Good lighting is important to avoid falls, especially at night.

LED bulbs are useful because they provide bright lighting and don't have to be changed as often.

Keep night lights in the bedroom, bathroom, and hall. Night lights with motion sensor are available, if you want lights that aren't shining bright throughout the night.

time

Pause and get your balance when changing positions. Rushing to get up or move is often a reason for falls.

Make sure you leave enough time when getting ready to go somewhere, so you aren't rushing out of the house.

surfaces

Both inside and outside, step carefully!

Avoid throw rugs inside your home. If you do have rugs, make sure to smooth out folds and use rugs with non slip bottoms.

non-slip

Non-slip mats are important to avoid slipping in the tub.

Installing grab bars can help with getting in and out of the tub and moving around the bathroom.

Make sure to wipe up spills right away to avoid slipping on the wet floor.

walking areas

Clutter is a big risk when it comes to falls.

Keep stairs, hallways, and other walk ways clear so you have a safe passage to walk through.
